Singapore aims to be the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference & Exhibition) hub of Asia. With this objective, two Singapore Integrated Resorts and Casino licenses were awareded to Las Vegas Sands & Genting International. Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort is due to open in 2Q of 2010. Resorts World at Sentosa Integrated Resort (with Universal Studios Singapore) was opened in Q1 of 2010. While Casino may be a strong attraction at the two mega resorts, Singapore maintains it will not be like the gambling facilities elsewhere but will be iconic destination resort that offers world-class entertainment and leisure facilities.
